Mr. West: The big burly bouncer at the door might indicate that Mr. West, the newest kid to the Chelsea club hub from nightlife vets Danny Divine and DJ Jus Ske, is just another in the bunch. But after stepping in, and noticing the laid-back and diverse crowd, intimate space, and especially attentive bar staff, you’ll realize Mr. West is one of the better neighbors, indeed. Table service, even when almost completely empty, is roped off from the rest of the bar area, which is all the more reason for everyone else to get cozy with one another under the crystal canopy while swaying to the beats from the DJ in the back, playing anything from Madonna to Mr. West himself. That’s not to say non-bottle goers are finding a cheap loop hole. Drinks, although stiff, are pricey, and look out for that automatic twenty-percent gratuity added to the tab.
