Mother's: Graham Avenue residents have gladly swapped greasy vegan eats for beer and burgers served up with a side of flat screen TV at Mother's. Owned by the team who brought divey Daddy's to the L-train scene, this simply styled sporty pub attracts the young Williamsburg crowd who gorge on cheap eats and cheap-enough beers and feign an interest in sports. Burgers are $5-7, with a side of fries for $2, and those missing Mighty Diamond's tofu fishsticks can still revel in a veggie burger that would satisfy a skeptical carnivore (and scare a beefaphobic vegetarian). The beer menu is supposed to be the draw, with 16 on tap and some at a very-economical $4 a glass, but the smell of a freshly made batch of the hot mulled cider might get you to trade in your manly pint. Mon.-Thurs. 5pm-12am, Fri. 5pm-2am, Sat. 1pm-2am, Sun. 1pm-12am. |
