Metro 53: Though it may seem like your average Midtown bar scene—corporate, martini-drinking 30-somethings all totally hammered at 7pm—Metro 53 actually has potential to be a really fun bar. This bar’s high point is the half-off happy hour. So, while you might need double the alcohol just to stand the mediocre crowd, Metro 53 has one big advantage over its neighboring joints and “big” is that advantage. The key is to bring all of your own friends—and your own fun. Bar tables are plentiful and the music is hip enough, even if the people dancing to it aren’t. Did we mention the happy hour?
