McKenna's Pub: CLOSED. The beautiful bodies who troll the Village wouldn’t dare to step one stiletto into McKenna’s Pub for $2 PBRs (in cans, no less). In this threadbare, frill-free establishment, barflies wash down the house specialty (Guinness) with unexciting (but edible) bar food. The bartenders are straight out of central casting and reflect the tone of the bar: grumpy and unwelcoming. However, the beer garden is substantial and a 2-for-1 happy hour (from noon until, whoa, 9pm) might be a good pre-game solution for those not looking to drop their entire paycheck. Just don’t bother with the plastic—McKenna’s is cash only. |
