Formerly an auto shop, Matchless is as raw around the edges as a bar with a foosball table can be. It’s gaining ground as a local favorite (a hard thing to do, since it’s parked across the street from Enid’s) for hosting homespun rockers and happy hours that carry on until 8pm. Artwork hangs on the exposed brick walls and the copper bar takes up the bulk of the narrow space, but there’s plenty of room to move around in case the aforementioned rockers aren’t all they claim to be. Expect to bump into all types of Brooklynites, hipsters, and laid-back locals.
