Marlow & Sons: Though the front looks like—and is, in fact—a country food store, Marlow & Sons is nothing short of the most charming boîte in the ’burg. Stocked with small plates, gourmet sandwiches, and an incredibly impressive wine list, there’s nothing small about this tiny space. Everything here is surprisingly luxe—drinks are mixed with ginger beer, the happy hour is all about the oysters, and even the groceries in front turn out to be of the epicurean variety. (Be sure to ask for a cheese plate and a side of olives to go with your vino.) Venturing on bohemian, it’s fitting that Marlow & Sons is on Broadway because it’s certainly destined to be a star. |
