When one thinks of Midtown, the words “salsa” and “dancing” don’t necessarily come to mind. But that’s exactly what you’ll find in this sprawling underground dance club. Wednesdays feature classic salsa nights, where a $5 cover earns you a dinner buffet (the food—usually rice, pork, chicken, and salad—is surprisingly good), and two-for-one drink specials. Other nights feature a mix of hip-hop and reggaeton, during which couples burn up the gigantic dance floor which may or may not have been a set piece from Scarface in a previous life. For those who need a rest or who didn’t catch the dancing bug, there are separate bar rooms and a lounge area to have a drink. But odds are if you’re in LQ, you didn’t come to sit down.
