Lockinn: This charming saloon-style pub has a little bit of something for everyone. Opened in November 2005, Lockinn was completely renovated with a brick fireplace, bench seating abutting red walls, and dark wood floors. Folks who like to drink and think at the same time would like the pub quizzes on Mondays where the winners receive prizes; there’s also Scrabble and chess on all the tables for board gamers. Check out local artists’ work hanging on the walls that change every month. Another highlight is the backyard BBQs, open to everyone who can BYOM (bring your own meat). Far enough from the hub-bub of the Bedford Avenue set, the bar caters to mostly nearby artists and residents who want a chill, but social atmosphere. |
