(Milk & Honey, East Side Company Bar) receives a warm welcome—or maybe a standing ovation—by cocktail connoisseurs and lushes the world over. A simple door leads those special enough to find it down a steep flight of stairs to reveal a cozy art-deco room. The air is fragrant with top-shelf vermouth and fresh ginger as wispy jazz dazzles your ear. The 12 different types of ice (ice!) used to make some of the world’s most innovative cocktails by sexy professionals clad in vests and ties don’t hurt either. Do yourself a favor, go, and tell no one about this prized possession—unless it’s a rich benefactor who’ll pick up the hefty tab. Cocktails as art aren’t cheap.
