Lazy Catfish: It may not be in a trendy part of town, but the Lazy Catfish has managed to make itself the cat’s meow among its South Williamsburg clientele. This may be due to their incredibly generous Tuesday night special—free PBR until 11 p.m. and well drinks starting at $2. And to further entice the cash-strapped, after 9 p.m. every night they offer free hot dogs with each drink purchased. The Southern-fried comfort food is only mediocre, but it does smell good. Hot wings and catfish poppers are decent attempts, but otherwise the food is nothing spectacular. The decor is nothing to write home about either, although there is a pool table, Ms. Pac Man, and pinball machine to distract you. But if you like cheap drinks, the Catfish will have you hooked. |
