Knickerbocker: From the looks of it, the owners of Knickerbocker Bar and Grill seem to have purchased this restaurant from a Pizzeria Uno franchise that went out of business years ago. You know the look—brass railings, glass dividers, a worn-out wooden bar, and a few white cloth-covered tables strewn about. Really, Knickerbocker is more restaurant than pub; the food is decent and they offer a hefty bistro menu (try the Black Angus Meatloaf if you’re feeling decadent, hungry, and have no plans to work out the next day). The crowd is older but by no means stuffy and the jazz music is conservative but by no means boring. That said, by no means should anyone under 40 want to find themselves drinking at Knickerbocker on a Saturday night. |
