Kitchen Club: The pseudo-struggling artists of SoHo and NoLita now have zero reason to complain about boring food. Over the past 15 years, owner Marja Samsom, a former "struggling" artist herself, has created a relaxed setting that serves up a mix of Western and Japanese creations as well as quirky drinks revolving around a vast sake collection. There are over 25 sakes to sip from as well as over 20 wines from around the globe. The flights are a great way to kick off the night. If that doesn’t do the trick, there’s also the plum-flavored “Chibitini” (named after the restaurant’s unofficial second owner, Chibi, Samson’s French bulldog). You see, creativity reigns free at the Kitchen Club. Inspired yet? |
