King Size: “Fun size” would be a more accurate moniker for this smallish venue, which occupies one of downtown Manhattan’s few remaining unbeaten paths. DJs play funky hip-hop- and techno-tinged beats to a non-9-5 crowd that occupies the colorful King Size’s main area and two off-shoot nooks. The shimmery yet sparsely decorated room has some old-school Lower East Side kitsch, complete with board games, karaoke on Mondays, and goldfish snack crackers. Should that not quench your appetite, know that this spot is co-owned by Il Bagatto’s proprietor, and patrons are allowed to order in. |
