Kimono Lounge: If not for Megu, the über-upscale restaurant downstairs, a lot of people would ask if they could just order food at this bar. Ample mood lighting and cozy white leather booths complement Kimono Lounge’s walls, which are lined with striking bolts of patterned silk. The drinks, like the décor, are sleek and expensive. While the “Blessing” is touted as Kimono’s specialty, a more unique offering is the frosty pear/ginger concoction known as “Autumn Rain.” The warm staff is happy to walk you through an extensive sake selection and the half-dozen or so signature cocktails. Things can be a little sleepy here on off nights, which isn’t to say the room doesn’t work for couples and small groups who are happy with the party they brought. |
