Keens Steakhouse: Lilly Langtree once sued to gain entry into this all-men’s club, and after winning her case, sauntered in wearing her feather boa and ordered the still-famous mutton chops. These days, the most unusual occurrence at this steakhouse is when someone orders a salad. This remnant of old New York boasts tin ceilings, mosaic floors, and bartenders adorned in classic garb. A little lost since the passing of the no-smoking ordinance, the one-time popular cigar and pipe bar relies on crowds before Knicks and Rangers games at nearby Madison Square Garden to bring home the bacon. The still mainly man’s man bar hosts flights of Scotch for artery-clogged carnivores. This classic steakhouse, although out-of-sync with the neighborhood, is worth a visit for history buffs and meat-lovers alike. Open Mon.-Fri. 11:45am-10:30pm; Sat. 5pm-10:30pm; Sun. 5pm-9pm.
