Katwalk: Upscale sports bar desperately seeks an SSL (sleek swanky lounge) for fun nights, cocktails, and walks on the beach. That’s pretty much what you get with Katwalk, where a dance floor for the footloose holds court in front of the long L-shaped bar, and a VIP “Kat Lounge” loft provides a haven for the privileged invitees. Wall-sized projection TVs feature the latest sporting events on one side and MTV/VH1-like programming on another as the manic music fluctuates between hip hop, dance, rock, '80s, '90s, and Top 40. Lovely young ladies tend bar and serve signature drinks like a “Katini” or appetizers like the spinach artichoke dip. Dim lighting, mirrors, candles, and warm-toned walls give off an intimate feel amid the cavernous room. Wednesday nights are all about sex—as in “Sex and the City” viewing parties—so gather your best girlfriends, sip a cosmo, and reminisce about “Big,” “Modelizers,” and bikini waxes gone bad. Happy hour is Monday through Friday, 11:30AM-7:00pm. It’s the “Kat’s” meow. |
