Karma: Finally, an East Village lounge that captures the spirit of the ’hood with a medley of all the usual suspects (hipsters, rockers, and models) hanging out harmoniously while smoking the hookah. Perhaps the intensely flavored tobacco combined with an air purification system casts a happy haze over the bevy of beautiful people. The bartenders look like they double as extras on “Entourage,” and the alluring velvet couches invite couples to go gaga over each other all night. DJs spin hot beats that ooze of sex, while happy hour gets the libidos and livers fueled. There isn’t anything in this place that doesn’t promote sensuality, and that’s pretty good karma to project while hitting up the hookah.
