JP Warde’s sounds more like an investment bank than an Irish bar catering to a sports-loving frat boy crowd (is that redundant?), but names can be deceiving. The daily 2-for-1 draft specials from 4pm-8pm are a good pre-game option, whether you need a drink to take the edge off before watching the Knicks inevitably lose, or want a cheap beer before making your way to the area’s scenier hangouts. Management loves to crank up the jukebox so loud that you can’t hear, well, anything, and the enormous TV screen in this tiny space might as well be Jessica Alba, it gets so much ogling. Nightly specials lure in the ladies; unfortunately, they came over on the ferry.
