Jake's Saloon: Jake’s Saloon is kind of like a Bennigan’s without the franchise endorsement. People think they go there to drink, but they really wind up eating mediocre food more than anything else. Jake’s has eat-with-your-fingers appetizers of spring rolls, Buffalo wings, and shrimp cocktail, and salads, pastas, and burgers for dinner. Random items like fish and chips and shepherd’s pie are the only sign that this place aspires to be an Irish pub. The wood bar and tables are darkly stained, while stained-glass lamps hang overhead. It’s a nice enough place and the service is friendly, but not much happens besides the occasional group toasting a coworker’s birthday. |
