Mac’s crowd is primarily local pier and construction workers looking to relax after a long day’s work. The frills here include tossing back $4 beers, watching the regulars rack 'em up at the pool table, and tuning in to vintage rock. Happy hour is not a set time but an everyday occurrence. Hey, in this city, it doesn’t get much cheaper than a cold $3.50 brew. It may be an older gathering of locals, but the few intrepid stragglers seem satisfied with the low-key, laid-back ambiance. It’s OK to leave home without the plastic because only greenbacks are accepted here.
