Il Sogno: Exploding with the kind of enthusiasm that only a brand new restaurant owner can muster, Il Sogno is a delight in which to eat, drink, and pretend you’re in Italy. Owner Jimmy Resulbegu opened this restaurant in late May 2003 after working for 15 years in upscale Italian restaurants all over Manhattan. Although Jimmy was technically born in Montenegro, Il Sogno’s two-page list of contemporary Italian wines and staggering array of sumptuous daily meal specials, (8-10 different offerings daily), ensure its status as bona fide Italiano. The house wine isn’t very impressive, but try the grappa with your dessert for a fantastically smooth finish to a fantastically satisfying meal. |
