If there was ever a place that made you want to crush an empty $2 beer can against your forehead, it was the Hog Pit in the MPD. Coated with a layer of grime and filled with honky-tonk music, the Pit was always the place to kick back and laugh at the Jersey-ites waiting in line at Lotus across the street. The specter of gentrification has followed this bar to its new digs in the Flatiron District, however: In its new location, not only can you see the floor, but you can see it's a fancy floor.
