Hi-Life Restaurant & Lounge: The Hi-Life on the UES is newly cleaned up and re-opened for business, sort of like Lindsay Lohan. The funkified sushi bar (and we are talking about the restaurant) offers elaborate items like Oysters Rockefeller and a pricey speedster martini, aptly called The Rolls Royce. The mahogany bar fronts a mini fish tank and overstuffed cushions lit by fancy lampshades, combined with the art deco blue mirrors and leather banquettes. It's a lot to take in and you might feel a bit of uneasiness (coincidentally like someone who just hung out with Lohan), but there must be something nostalgic (about both) because Upper East Siders are back chowing down, as well as sipping cocktails and wine, and enjoying common day comfort food like flame-grilled pizza, prime rib, and fried chicken.
