Guest House: This is sort of an adjunct to Home, but with its own personality. Where Home is driven by hip-hop, Guest House, fittingly, is all about house music (though Tuesday rocks out). Velvety Victorian walls are wrapped around this darkened space where leather banquettes line the lounging area, which leads to a big standing/dancing space near the bar. The crowd here is similar to what’s found at places like Cielo, where Diesel-clad Euro transplants come to dance and flirt. Bottle service is recommended for big spenders, but there’s plenty of standing room too. Guest House is a loud and crowded experience, and while chilling out at a table is a possibility, this isn’t the kind of place you frequent for after-work drinks. |
