Don’t let the numerous Vespas distract you. The newest café/bar in Greenwich Village is also home to the NY Scooter Club. Climb the stairs and sit upon a perch in the window perfect for people watching or browsing the internet on the free-for-use computers. Making the most of the current beer and wine offerings, treats like the $10 sip-and-sandwich special pair a wine of the day with any of the Treehouse’s various sandwiches (but feel free to order delivery from neighborhood eateries if a sammie won’t do you). Nightly events like Monday’s “Trivia Time,” Wednesday’s stand-up open mic, and live jazz that is scheduled to start sometime soon, all add a bit of umph to the mellow mood that is leftover from the days the space was Caffe Dell Artista.
This is my new favorite bar. Sometimes it's packed and other times it's kind of quiet. I like it both ways but hope that it doesn't get over ran anytime soon. It has the potential of being another 'Employees Only'. Many things have changed since the above review was written. It's not a cafe at all anymore. Just a full on bar with lots of fun stuff happening. You can play Wii on the huge screen just about any time but Guitar Hero is for when no one is playing the Internet Jukebox. Now that fall is here they are serving a crazy delicious 'Pumpkin Pie' martini ganished with a cinnamon stick. Sooo tasty! Oh yeah, no more live jazz at all. I am told that they will start to have a DJ on Wednesdays in a few weeks. Looking forward to it.
