Geronimo
Geronimo calls itself a Mexican restaurant, but die-hard foodies be warned: this is Americanized Mexican food, amigos. What was our first clue? The Veggie Burger. Everyone knows the only taco without cooked meat to eat is the one we go "geronimo" on. But there are offerings like the Aztec Arroz con Pollo and sizzling marinated shrimp that make our mouths water. Brunch is where it’s at and some Latin flavor might do you some good first thing on a Sunday morning. For $9.95, you'll get a cactus-stemmed glass margarita (it's a glass you can keep, you cheap drunk) or mimosa, and goodies like breakfast burritos, French toast, and wraps slathered in chipotle mayo. Happy hour isn’t so bad either: $5 and up margaritas, $3 drafts, and a do-it-yourself taco bar. Sounds like a step up from "running for the border."

Walked in happy....Walked out miserable

I will never step foot in this restaurant again. On a cool October day,
I walked into this place for lunch with my friends seeking a tasty bowl
of guacamole and thought that since they charged $15 for a tiny portion,
it must be amazing. Temp inside the restaurant was about 80 degs. We
were 1 of 3 tables in the back and were placed right next to a couple
who was loud, obnoxious and arguing. It took 15 mins for our waitress to
even acknowledge us.The waitress rolled her eyes when taking the drink
order then dropped off a drink without ice then claimed that their
'guacamole maker' was not in therefore we could not order any for the
table...but have the option to order individual sides of it?? Confused
and irritated, we continued to swat flies out of our drinks. We then
noticed that our simple order came 20 mins after people who sat 20 mins
after us. To add to the dreadful experience, trying to pay the bill was
impossible. Every time we needed the waitress' attention, we had to get
up from our table and go to the side area where all of the waitresses
were slacking off. It was obviously the spot for gossiping, crying, and
fighting. Not sure if it was a bad day for the staff but it reflected
poorly on the restaurant. Maybe that is why the guacamole maker called
in sick.....

Quiet Atmosphere

Wide Open Windows makes for easy people watching if your sitting by the bar or near a window in the sit-in down section. But it is quick, easy, pretty good food and alcohol for cheap prices. Usually playing any variation of the Mets/Yankees games or any popular sporting event at the time. Florescent lights at the bar tend to be a little overbearing.
