Geisha: Unfortunately there’s none of that “me love you long time” concubine action happening at Geisha, but that’s about it for disappointments. Whether you’re on a romantic date or having dinner with friends, Geisha’s low-to-the-ground lounges and narrow bar make for an intimate experience (just not that intimate). Sit in the back for more privacy, or lay down roots in the front to mingle with the always “fabulous, dahling” cocktail hour crowd. Bright orange discs hanging above the bar brighten the space’s otherwise sedate look, but thanks to the layout and warm lighting, Geisha doesn’t feel cold. Order one of Geisha’s signature drinks, like the Strawberry Banana Martini or the Geisha Blossom, and you might be tempted to let the chopsticks out of your hair. If you can spare the change, don’t leave without sampling something from Geisha’s distinctive Japanese/French East-meets-West menu. |
