Galway Hooker: This “hooker” may be “new in town,” but the team behind this bi-level midtown drinking house is certainly no virgin to the New York bar scene. The owners of popular destination, Fiddlesticks, have created a sleeker uptown cousin—and this time, size does matter. It’s a 10,000 square feet space that has two floors, two bars, two pool tables, a full restaurant menu, some 120 beer selections, and a 12-foot HD projection screen. While the crowd is mostly of the male variety, ladies should take note if they like suited bankers and media moguls. Oh yeah, and it turns out a “hooker” in Ireland is actually a dirt-carrying boat. Bummer. |
