Closing Saturday (Sept. 6), this once-hot spa-lounge in the basement of Hotel Gansevoort is the latest casualty in the MPD. Kneading weary muscles by day and intoxicating flashy scenesters by night, G Spa & Lounge took multitasking to new extremes. With Richie Akiva and Scott Sartiano of Butter running the door, the glowing red treatment/party space was kept highly exclusive, despite smelling of chlorine. Here's to hopes for a happy ending.
