Flight 151: It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Flight 151, soaring high with a surprisingly straight crowd next to its more color-ful Chelsea neighbors. This airplane-hangar-shaped pub is a testosterone-infused sports bar that appeals to that 20-something male who looks like he would be more at home on Bleecker Street…or sleeping on the floor of the Sigma house. Patrons love the burgers, free popcorn, and MP3 jukebox. It’s amazing how far kitschy airplane signage combined with crayons (the staff encourages you to mark up your table), kamikazes, and videogames can go to create that romper room feeling for adults. |
