Flatbush Farm: "Provincial" isn't a pejorative at Flatbush Farm, as you can immediately tell upon entering its adjoining bar(n). More country estate than rustic farmyard, the bar is lined with country-tinged curiosities. Empty bell jars, unoccupied picture frames, and two antique portraits preside over drinkers enjoying the Farm's well-rounded, microbrew-ish beer list or its impressive wine selection. If you want a glass of something with a little more voltage, try the homemade limoncello (lemon-infused vodka poured from mason jars), or the fizzy Ciconne Boom that’s made with Prosecco. If the charcuterie plate or deviled eggs off the bar menu can't satisfy your inner barnyard, you can get any dish the restaurant makes delivered to the bar, tables, or the spacious back patio. |
