Fatty Crab: This place looks like a roadside shack somewhere on the isle of Malaysia, and that’s just the idea. All they’re lacking is the breeze and the view of the ocean. But with a few sips of the “Crabtails” (that’s a pun on cocktails, OK?) beverage meister Dave Wondrich developed, you’ll forget all about it and think you’re in Nirvana. There’s a great mix of Malaysian-inspired food with a menu designed by celeb exec chef Zac Pelaccio, and the beer list is all Asian too. Slurp up the house special, a Tembun Kepiting, which translates to…Fatty Crab. It’s loaded with overproof rum, pineapple juice, ginger ale, bitters, and topped off with a dash of Pernod. You'll need your fatty ass rolled out of there afterwards. |
