Fashion 40:
It’s not the menu and service that has people filling Fashion 40 after work. Rather, it’s the scene—the see-and-be-seen one that runs amok at this two-story Garment District lounge. The top floor is usually reserved for parties where guests spend the entire night standing at the balcony so they can get a good look at who is coming in. Downstairs you’ll find pretty people mingling and lounging on low couches while sipping F40s (lychee puree and champagne) and Coco Poms (coconut rum and pomegranate juice) and throwing around air kisses like they are the Prada-wearing devil herself. But don’t be discouraged if your fab level doesn’t feel high enough. Fashion 40 has a welcoming door policy.
Although a trendy spot, the staff is rude and inconsiderate. The place gets way to crowded and bartenders are inattentive. I was expecting a lot more class from Fashion 40 and was extremely disappointed.
