Fanelli’s: Older than at least two of the Golden Girls put together, Fanelli’s may have once been a welcoming family-run bar, but its personality has long been sandpapered since then. It had to be—how else do you survive as a SoHo veteran among the hipsters? A buttress to the beautification of the neighborhood, Fanelli’s bar food and brewsky attitude, weathered furniture, and working-stiff mentality is one that keeps Lacoste lovers at bay. In fact, with the overload of woodsy décor, we’re pretty sure Paul Bunyan is one of their regulars. |
