The exterior may resemble that of any other Irish saloon, but nobody will Failte (FAL-cha) you for warming a stool here. Failte’s low lighting and candles (saving on electric bills, maybe?), soft but fun music (wow—talking!), exposed brick, and fireplace make this watering hole seem rather homey, as do the pleasant bartenders. Even though there’s dancing on the weekends with a DJ and plenty of attractive men to boot, an odd location is this spot’s caveat. However, if you ever wanted to have your choice of over 50 different kinds of whiskey, this is the spot for you. And if you’re lucky, you might even end up with one of the cuties.
Are there awards to be won for being the best pub in the City? Failte is great - such an authentic NYC Irish bar. With the fireplaces going and the Christmas decorations up, the bar feels like another home... a perfect place to hang all winter. It is worth going out of your way to go to Failte!
