Caricatures of celebrities like Uma Thurman line the walls and loosened-button-down-shirt-wearing after-workers line the bar at this nondescript Midtown spot. The intimate back lounge is centered by a fireplace where on select weekends a caricature artist is on hand to create personal portraits for patrons. Basic bar fare of fajitas, cheese sticks, and Buffalo wings do the job filling you up and TV screens are broadcasting games for sports nuts. They’re hometown fans, so if you’re there on a generous night, you can expect a free shot when the Yanks hit a home run against Boston.
I went to Faces after my lame holiday work party at my office, and just had to write a review. My co-workers and I have spent many a night in the back lounge munching on their addictive mini cheeseburgers and drinking it up to unwind. The staff always is nice to us, and have been there forever. It's great to go to a place where they know our names and have a smile when we walk in! It does get a little crowded sometimes, but we always try to find a corner somewhere and hang. I wish my boss would've picked here for our party, but at least our post party was great.
