El Parador: Ay carumba! El Parador Café has one of the biggest tequila selections north of Tijuana. With over 70 types of tequila and 100 bottles of wine in the offerings, it’s a good thing that this place offers outstanding Mexican fare to absorb the toxins. While the enchiladas are great, the steaks here are quite fantastic. El Parador’s dark-wood upstairs dining room is typically packed with dates and mates enjoying pitchers of sangria, but downstairs, you’ll find a lounge with younger singles drinking copious amounts of margaritas and lounging—and later passing out—on the comfy banquettes that line the space. This is the oldest Mexican restaurant in the city, and it looks and tastes great for 46. Vamanos! |
