Dumont: Across the street from the supposedly charming Kellogg’s Diner lies its complete polar opposite, DuMont. Though locally famous for their burgers (which spawned offshoot DuMont Burger on Bedford Avenue), this petite bistro is just as popular for all of the other eating and drinking that goes on there. While the dining room is constantly packed, try visiting the back room or, in pleasant weather, the garden, where you can down some mac and cheese or one of the specialty cocktails.
