Down the Hatch:
In the catacombs of the West Village, drunken frat boys and co-eds in tight shirts are bubbling over with booze and bad pick-up lines while clamoring to spin the Wheel of Alcohol. Foosball, beer pong, and nine plasma televisions are set under a sea of blinking Christmas lights which evoke a certain Fast Times at Ridgemont High feeling. Top 40 tunes intoxicate bar-goers who scarf down all-you-can-eat Atomic Wings and three pitchers of beer ($19 weekend special and during Monday Night Football) while stealing kisses on the porch swing from that night’s hook-up. So grab your gluttonous gang and revel in the excess of the underbelly of Down the Hatch.
I've been to Down the Hatch a number of times, and I've always had so much fun. I've been when it's super busy during the winter months with a large group of friends, and I've been when its less busy with just one pal. The atmosphere is very cozy and the specials are out of this world. Not to mention Tommy the bartender is super hot =) If you're into dive bars DTH is a must see. If you go during the winter on a Saturday or Sunday for the special - get there before noon...trust me =)

I ONLY GAVE IT A SINGLE STAR BECAUSE I HAD TO GIVE A RATING. IF NOT, I WOULDN'T GIVE IT ANY STARS! THIS IS THE WORST BAR IN NEW YORK CITY, POSSIBLY THE EASTERN SEA BOARD. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS BAR. THE BOUNCER SAID MY REAL ID WAS A FAKE AND I HAD TO FILE A POLICE REPORT. THE MANAGER WOULDN'T EVEN TAKE MY BACK ON THIS ISSUE, EVEN THOUGH MY ID SCANS!!!!!!! NEVER GO HERE EVER! Oh the good ol' days of college and basement parties lives on. An absolutely fun plce to grab a beer, some wings (some of the best in the city) and play a bit of fooze!

I just had a get together with my friends at Down the Hatch, and we had an amazing time. The staff was great and the food was a hit from what I can remember.
