Dos Caminos-SoHo: Too lazy to make the drive to the beach this summer? Don’t sweat it—your tan doesn’t have to suffer just because you’d rather sip cocktails than surf a rad wave. You can bronze nicely at Dos Caminos SoHo’s lavishly large, unforgettably hot pink outdoor café. (Just beware that the wait to get a table may be as long as the trek down the turnpike to the shore.) Sultry red walls and deep amber lighting suck you right back inside if the breeze off the beach, um, West Broadway, gives you the chills. Try moseying on over to the guacamole bar decorated with antique Mexican pottery on quaint caramel shelves. But if you’re not craving avocado, try one of the seasonal sangrias or 100 different types of tequilas. After all, you may be avoiding the sand crabs, but after visiting Dos Caminos, you’ll definitely encounter a few worms. |
