Dos Caminos: Even if a forest full of trees had to die to make this place, the bewitching atmosphere they create is worth it. Throughout the table-filled space hang alluring lanterns of tree trunks, which emit a warm orange light from within their hollowed-out centers through pattern cut-outs and etchings. The intricacies of the other wood touches are gorgeous, but the 100-plus tequila selections and flights are more likely to leave you feeling warm in the end. A lively crowd of well-dressed couples and slightly chi-chi young professionals pack the tables and barstools all week, so it’s a good idea to make a reservation. The double doors with huge “DC” handles are heavy but the struggle only makes the passionfruit margarita and table-side homemade guacamole that much more satisfying. |
