Dock's Oyster Bar: Black and white tiles and the open window to the kitchen in the back are about all this place has going for it in the way of atmosphere, but this moderately priced American seafood restaurant has good grub. The menu is easy to understand—nothing too fancy here—and the seafood is fresh and nicely prepared, though the service can be a bit indifferent. There’s a bar, but nothing is going on there save the nervous leg-tapping of people waiting for a table. Sunday and Monday nights feature the New England clambake. Though generally about as exciting as the Hamptons on a January night, Dock’s is worth dropping your anchor when you’re in need of some vittles. |
