As a good dive bar should be, this one is all the redneck you want, minus the uneasiness of seeing overweight women in Confederate flag bikini tops doing the electric slide. This dive bar tries, it really does. From the fish tank, to the mermaid figure on the wall, right down to the generic palm tree poster on the wall, this place tries to evoke some kind of ambiance. However, what is most telling about the vibe of this bar is not the gimmicky diving equipment, but the extensive list of single-malt Scotch that proves this place is not for the weak. It is for some serious, no-hassle boozin’. Staying true to the spirit of a dive bar, beer prices are reasonable: $4 mugs and $5 pints.
