District @ The Muse Hotel: Not far from the gaudy glare of Times Square, District offers an understated, classy ambiance and cleverly contrived cocktails like the Peachy Keen Martini. There’s pleasing worldly fare, some of which changes seasonally, with hints of American flavors and a prix fixe theater menu served Tuesday through Saturday. A lively yet refined crowd fills the olive-green walls in a mélange of hotel guests, locals, after-workers, and Broadway-bound diners lounging on leather banquettes or teetering on barstools as they take in the street-level sights of 46th Street. That alone make this place worth a visit. |
