Dirty Disco: CLOSED
The bi-level Dirty Disco sits in a space that has housed many bad clubs over the years, but this time, 248 W. 14th St. may have gotten it right. Upstairs is a faux shabby railroad layout adorned with chandeliers and pretty people, though not the kind one would find in most bottle service clubs: not terribly WASPy and even sporting baseball caps if that’s their thing. Downstairs is more of the same, but with a lower ceiling that better traps the crisp rock and old-school hip-hop mixes. Though Dirty Disco has a basement-like vibe to it, the décor is more thought out than one might first realize. Shiny Victorian-esque wallpaper abounds where they could’ve easily gotten along with bare concrete. Dirty Disco could become a spillover spot for The Plumm, but don’t be surprised if it steals the show. |
