Dieci: The clever management behind Dieci had a brilliant idea: open a restaurant whose name means “ten” on E. 10th St. What could be cuter!? How about a microscopic space where you can wash back your Italian food with some Japanese booze? Standard fare includes a pairing of prosecco with prosciutto, but for those who really want to mix it up, have some sake with that salami. The smiling server won't judge you, and with seating for just 25, it's doubtful that many others could either. At the sloping bar, you can even discreetly pick some of that squid ink risotto out of your teeth as you peruse the night's specials written on the mirror. Foie gras for $9 makes Dieci a ten in everyone's book. |
