Devin Tavern
There’s nothing like feeling like a fat cat. You may not have the wallet wad, but there is something fun about chomping on an unlit cigar while rocking those suspenders you swore were going to come back. The perfect new spot to take your Chesire-Cat-grinning self is Devin Tavern. Luxurious high-back leather banquettes cushion you in a room of fireplaces, exposed brick, hand-forged iron sconces, and Venetian-plaster frescoes. Classic martinis and Manhattans are poured from ruby red, etched-glass cocktail shakers to complement a simple American menu of baby back ribs, grilled steaks and chops, and more ornamental dishes like sweet corn soufflé and foie gras brulee that are worth popping a few buttons for. See, those suspenders were useful after all!

Devin Tavern

Devin Tavern greets you with a warm glow of atmosphere-- an abundance of brick charm, with candles and uplights everywhere-- very welcoming. The Tavern is effused with a pleasant mix of the casual and the classically elegant. And true to the neighborhood, it brings the best of old New York together with the look and feel of a new Manhattan bar and restaurant, with a touch of California ranch. We were met with a friendly waitstaff who gave us excellent service-- attentive and well-timed. The apetizers were delicious, with some nice surprises. I particularly enjoyed the thinly sliced mangoes with basil. I had the wild salmon, which melted in my mouth and was wonderfully seasoned. My dessert was a flavorful treat of decadent chocolate that definately left me wanting more. From start to finish my entire first dining experience at Devin Tavern was an enjoyable one. Every dish was light, with flavors and seasonings that were distinct yet well harmonized, never overpowering. I look forward to returning to this little culinary oasis in Tribecca!
