Della Femina: A hop, skip, and a jump away from Matto and Nick & Toni’s, Della Femina is the third golden nugget in East Hampton’s gourmet trifecta. A spot as established as this is bound to have lots of regulars, but you’ll also catch anniversary celebrations, dates, and family gatherings at this casual, but lively new American restaurant (and by lively we mean noisy and crowded—reservations are highly recommended). You would never know Hermes bags were so hard to come by as you marvel at the mostly tucked-in, conservatively-dressed crowd. Touted as one of the few high-end Hamptons spots actually worth the big bucks (appetizers go for $14-$22 and entrees are $26-$46), Della Femina has a beautiful garden, along with a fireplace. The backdrop to their bar is a series of caricatures depicting some of their celeb following (Martha, Billy Joel), so you’ll have more beautiful faces to stare at as you sip your expensive cocktail. |
