More like a pricey hotel lobby, Del Posto’s crowd’s focus is more on being seen than actually hanging out. Soft piano music sets the backdrop for bi-level balconies beckoning to big spenders showing off their latest eye candy. The lounge offers a limited, but tantalizing menu fraught with ridiculously delicious vino. This is a dark, upscale experience for those looking for a grown-up evening with cash to burn. But don’t expect friendly service unless your last name is Batali (Mario runs the show here)—they aren’t as gracious to mere mortals.
