![]() cool vibe and great sake It's a somewhat mysterious, low-key kind of place, but this East Village izakaya is one of a kind. Good for a date or a drink with a great sake list. I don’t know if it’s the narrow basement stairs, the makeshift curtain greeting your entrance, or the almost-cramped candlelit room filled with dark wood tables, but Decibel makes this Midwestern white guy feel like a Tokyo hipster. If you’re in the mood to insult Decibel’s fine-tuned authenticity, I recommend sake bombs, and lots of ‘em. But remember, your waitress will know what you’re trying to order, so it will take some crafty convincing to get all the necessary glassware. Posted by: Jason S. On: 10/12/2006 5:47:00 PM |
